Project
In Easter 2024, Lukas Graham took over Musikkens Hus, VEGA, in Vesterbro, Copenhagen, to record songs for their upcoming album, inviting the audience to be a part of this intimate process. For eight days, every hall, stairway, and room in VEGA buzzed with music as new songs were explored, created, and recorded. The public was invited to experience this process over 8 consecutive evenings, offering a unique, behind-the-scenes look at music production.
Attendees journeyed through the building, encountering studio setups, instruments, mixer consoles, and exhibitions showcasing Lukas Graham's memorabilia, including private photos, platinum records, and handwritten lyrics. As the lights dimmed and the stage lit up, the audience was brought into the heart of the recording process as the vocals for brand new songs was recorded live on stage.
For this project, our role was to shape the creative concept and assist with the creative direction. We developed the pre-concert experience, determining how the audience would navigate through VEGA and what they would encounter along the way. Our approach ensured that attendees had an engaging and immersive journey, encountering studio setups, memorabilia, and interactive exhibits that enriched their connection to the music and the band before the main event.
